Applitools Eyes Successfully Used by Wix.com to Prevent Regressions & Reduce Manual Testing

Wix, the cloud-based web development platform, needed a better way to test its complex HTML5 Website Editor and generated sites across browsers, resolutions, and operating systems. Its in-house visual testing approach created too many false positives and was difficult to maintain, while manual testing could not catch all UI regressions. Wix used Applitools Eyes as part of its Selenium- and TeamCity-based automation stack to solve this challenge.

Applitools implemented Eyes to automatically validate UI elements with human-eye-like visual comparisons, including features like Ignore Regions and Floating Regions to reduce maintenance. As a result, Wix cut manual QA per release from more than 70 hours to just 5 hours, improved automated coverage, and caught more regressions and UI bugs before release.
