Case Study: Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture achieves a next-generation employee experience with Applaud

Delivering a next-generation employee experience as part of a HR transformation project

Applaud worked with the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA), a Saudi Arabian ministry with around 10,000 employees, as part of a broader HR transformation. MEWA wanted to replace outdated HR systems with a single, modern employee experience that would improve usability, support mobile access, eliminate paper-based processes, and create a central place for employees and managers to access HR services and approvals.

Using Applaud’s creator platform, employee portal, AI assistant, journeys, HR case management, and integrations, MEWA launched a fully customized digital HR environment with 120 services, supported by a local partner and an on-site consultant for a year. Applaud helped MEWA shut down Oracle self-services, achieve 100% desktop adoption, roll out mobile access department by department, and reach 90% employee satisfaction within six months, while also improving efficiency and enabling faster communication during COVID-19.
