Case Study: Flimbos protects revenue and game integrity with AppKnox

Rescuing one of Ireland's top grossing gaming apps from a suspicious revenue block

Flimbos, an Ireland-based skill competitions gaming app launched in 2016, needed to protect its platform from score manipulation, payment bypasses, and other abuses that could hurt both player trust and in-game revenue. To address these risks, Flimbos worked with AppKnox for mobile application security testing, including SAST and DAST, to uncover weaknesses in the app’s security and business logic.

AppKnox identified and neutralized more than 10 critical mobile application threats, including issues that could have allowed account takeover, tampering, and revenue leakage. It also found 4 high-critical configuration threats and added extra protections to prevent binary/code tampering, helping Flimbos secure its app, block malicious activity, and better protect revenue flow.
