Case Study: Singapore Airlines eliminates automated mobile app attacks and saves $500K with AppKnox

A AppKnox Case Study

Preview of the Singapore Airlines Case Study

How One of the Largest Airlines Company Eliminated Automated Attacks on Mobile Apps and Saved 500,000$ in a year

Singapore Airlines, one of the largest airline groups in Southeast Asia, needed a better way to secure its mobile apps as it faced credential stuffing, account lockouts, and limited visibility across multiple third-party security vendors. The airline was also dealing with slow, manual security testing that delayed releases and made it difficult to get a full 360-degree view of vulnerabilities across its Android and iOS applications.

To address this, Singapore Airlines deployed AppKnox’s automated mobile application security suite to replace its previous security vendors and streamline assessment across 100+ apps. AppKnox provided automated and manual testing, detailed reporting, and continuous monitoring, helping the airline close 5,000 security issues, resolve 10 compliance issues, and improve testing accuracy with 0% false positives and about 1% false negatives, while cutting pentesting turnaround from more than 30 days and saving an estimated $500,000 in a year.
