Scalda College, a Dutch vocational education institution formed from the merger of ROC Zeeland and ROC Westerschelde, needed a way to support student-owned laptops while also simplifying IT management across thousands of PCs and thin clients. Working with Appixoft, the college looked for a solution that could provide access to school applications, printers, and file shares without creating licensing or support headaches.

Appixoft implemented Scense Workspace Management to centralize and unify IT administration, including support for non-domain and BYOD devices. The result was a more flexible environment for students and staff, easier merger of the two IT landscapes, and a major reduction in support effort, including a 70% decrease in help desk calls and the elimination of frequent PC “flushing” routines.
