Onderwijsgroep Noord, a Dutch shared service organization supporting 23 regional secondary schools, needed a better way to manage roaming profiles as it migrated from Windows 7 to Windows 10. With around 1,400 staff, 12,000 students, and 10,000 workstations, the team struggled to keep user settings, modern apps, and school device profiles consistent across locations. Appixoft’s Scense Live Profiles solution was selected to address the Windows 10 roaming profile challenge.

Appixoft implemented Scense Live Profiles and workspace management, streamlining roaming profiles, application delivery, and the overall user workspace. The rollout went smoothly, with only minimal support needed from Appixoft, and by March 2019 about 40% of locations had already moved to Windows 10 and Scense. The solution also enabled on-demand app delivery, improved the standard start menu experience, and prepared Onderwijsgroep Noord for future remote application delivery, BYOD, and group policy use.
