Mondriaan College, part of the Mondriaan Education Group in The Hague, needed a better way to manage applications and user settings across 6,500 PCs spread over multiple sites. With students and classes constantly changing and IT staff having to install software manually at each location, the college faced poor application performance, limited flexibility, and heavy weekend/holiday maintenance pressure. Appixoft’s Scense platform, working alongside Symantec Workspace Virtualization, was brought in to address these challenges.

Appixoft implemented Scense to create a centralized, personalized workspace so students and tutors could log in at any location and access their own applications, data, and settings. The result was faster and more efficient issue resolution, dramatically fewer helpdesk calls, and far less time spent on urgent IT problems. According to Mondriaan College, Appixoft helped them use IT staff more effectively and move from being constantly “overtaken by events” to proactively managing their environment.
