How Jägermeister boosted ad recall thanks to a series of creative tests

Jägermeister, a major global producer of premium alcohol, partnered with the market research platform Appinio to test advertising creatives for the launch of a new flavor in the US and UK markets. Their challenge was to assess if the creative was eye-catching, if the new flavor was communicated effectively, and how well it fit the brand image to drive consumer trial.

Appinio provided rapid consumer feedback from 2,000 participants, testing four ad creatives. The insights gained led to a redesign of the creative with less text and stronger flavor visuals. This solution from Appinio resulted in a significant increase in ad recall, improved brand fit, higher trial intent, and better flavor perception for Jägermeister's new product.
