SIX Group, headquartered in Zurich, operates Switzerland’s financial-market infrastructure and serves 125 banks with services for securities trading, market data and payments. Its Corporate Actions Income team processed roughly 1,500 cases daily but relied heavily on key employees and multiple systems; reviewing Corporate Actions Events and SWIFT messages was manual and time‑intensive, with limited visibility into case status and no near‑real‑time reporting.

Using Appian, SIX implemented the Unified Workflow Solution (UWS) to standardize, streamline and automate workflows, centralize case handling and reporting, and improve transaction transparency while reducing operational risk and manual effort. UWS also provides a secure, reusable platform for future digital-transformation programs, enabling faster application development and broader reuse across business units.
