The Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA) represents more than 500,000 construction workers, public employees and mail handlers across North America and needed a more modern way to deliver reliable membership services. LIUNA’s legacy systems and limited mobile tools constrained visibility, accessibility and the speed of core labor-relations processes, so the organization sought a cloud-based BPM solution to accelerate services and improve data integrity.

LIUNA selected Appian Cloud to rebuild its LIUNA Link membership-management system, combining process automation, deep data integration, native mobile access and social collaboration. The platform standardized workflows across 400+ local affiliates and dozens of councils and funds, connecting staff, members and contractors to deliver faster, more efficient service, better training, stronger representation and improved membership-data integrity while reducing the burden on internal IT.
