The Fortune 500 European-Based Integrated Energy Company, one of the global oil and gas supermajors, was struggling with slow, manual processes and scattered data across documents, emails, spreadsheets, and local systems. Working with Appian and its Appian Platform, the company needed a way to digitalize offshore production operations while improving asset integrity, security, production optimization, energy efficiency, and maintenance support.

Appian implemented an integrated operations application that automated offshore maintenance and operations workflows, unified data into a real-time dashboard, and connected SAP, equipment sensors, and production systems. The result was a “single version of the truth” for critical asset information, faster decision-making, better risk visibility, and improved collaboration across teams; the deployment has since grown to 20+ applications across six business areas, automating 50+ core business processes in 25 countries.
