AppGeo worked with the City of Stockton, California to assess and plan improvements for its GIS program. The city needed a clear roadmap covering data, systems, business process integration, and governance, along with a way to align GIS priorities with staffing and budget realities.

AppGeo delivered a GIS technology assessment and roadmap in July 2014, using stakeholder surveys, departmental interviews, document reviews, and a SWOT analysis, plus a joint review workshop to shape vision and priorities. The final report outlined modernization recommendations, a sustainable GIS program design, business system integration, and targeted data investments, and AppGeo has since continued supporting the program with a modernized geospatial web viewer.
