PostNL, a leading postal and parcel provider that delivers 1.1 million items daily to 200 countries and employs about 50,000 people, set out to modernize its operations with cloud and mobile technologies. As the workforce shifted toward BYOD, the company found its existing MDM only covered corporate-owned industrial devices and needed a lighter-weight, app-level solution to securely reach internal and external users.

By adding Apperian’s standalone MAM alongside its MDM, PostNL established app-level security, a private branded enterprise app store, CI integration, SDK-free app wrapping, and app lifecycle/version control. The combined approach enabled secure distribution to 100% of workers and reduced app management effort—saving roughly four hours per week per app.
