A Apperian Case Study
Georgia Southern University, a public institution of 20,500 students and 2,800 staff, had developed a diverse portfolio of 67 mobile apps but lacked a central, secure way to organize, manage and drive adoption of them. With students and faculty using multiple devices and new apps continually in development, the university needed a formal mobile app management strategy to ensure apps were discoverable, role-appropriate and securely delivered.
Apperian provided a branded private app store with role- and device-based delivery and per-app security policies, allowing GSU to package, vet and deploy apps under one trusted university umbrella. The solution simplified access, reinforced GSU branding and community trust, boosted adoption across campus (helping deliver apps to the entire community), and supported an expanding pipeline of student- and staff-developed mobile solutions.
