AT&T, a leading communications company, needed to move its field sales force beyond basic email and CRM access to a scalable mobile sales strategy that would connect reps to productivity tools and demos, mobilize pre- and post‑sales activities, and boost collaboration with teams and customers. Faced with rising BYOD and app proliferation, AT&T sought a secure, user-friendly way to distribute and manage internal and external mobile apps across a large, diverse device population.
AT&T adopted Apperian’s mobile application management platform and private app store, piloting with ~300 users before rolling out to more than 8,000 field reps alongside its MDM solution. The result: users preferred the MAM experience, the AT&T store delivered ~120,000 app downloads with an 82% participation rate (projected to the mid‑90s), enabled three new apps per month, and improved secure, rapid app deployment, adoption, collaboration, and overall sales effectiveness.
