Rapid innovation in the face of a global health crisis

Nouveal e-santé, a Lyon-based digital health SME, rapidly adapted its e-fitback telemedicine platform into Covidom in partnership with AP-HP and the French Ministry of Health to provide remote monitoring during the COVID-19 crisis. Faced with one of Europe’s hardest-hit health systems, the company needed to onboard GPs and hospitals, iterate features fast, and scale capacity immediately to relieve pressure on hospitals and manage large, fast-growing patient volumes.

By using AppDynamics for real-time performance monitoring, Nouveal e-santé kept development fast while ensuring stability and speed—cutting average response times from 1,500 ms to 110 ms and enabling a jump from serving 20 patients a year to 20,000 in two hours. The optimized platform went on to support 186,000 patients and 1.65 million questionnaires, helping implement national remote-monitoring and post-lockdown public-health strategies.
