How Indiegogo uses Appcues to communicate product updates contextually

Indiegogo, the crowdfunding marketplace, needed a faster way to drive adoption of new product features. Product Marketing Manager Scott Seiffer found that in‑app messages required lengthy handoffs to design and development, and their new "Collections" feature saw little uptake when announced only via a blog post.

After installing Appcues, Scott and his team could build and publish in‑product guidance themselves; they used coach marks to call out the share and follow buttons on Collections. That change led to a significant increase in shares and follows for each Collection and higher overall backer engagement across the marketplace.
