AllSquare launches Android app in 2.5 months with The APP Solutions

AllSquare, a community and social network for golfers, faced the challenge of building a robust Android app from scratch to become the world's leading golf marketplace. Their existing iOS app design was unsatisfactory, so the challenge for vendor The APP Solutions was not to adapt it but to create an entirely new design and user experience for the Android platform.

The APP Solutions designed a new UI/UX and built the Android app using a technology stack that included Square's Retrofit, Okhttp, and Picasso libraries with RX Java for asynchronous operations. They integrated Facebook for social networking, One Signal for push notifications, and Google Maps with Booking.com API for geolocation and hotel bookings. The app was delivered in just 2.5 months and provides access to the world's largest database of over 33,000 golf courses in more than 180 countries.
