Michelin, the France-based global tire manufacturer, needed a more robust, low‑risk content management solution after an aborted 8‑figure CMS project. Seeking to manage roughly 200+ sites in dozens of languages with limited capital, Michelin’s developers began building on the Apostrophe open‑source repository (ApostropheCMS) and later engaged Apostrophe for Enterprise‑level support.

Apostrophe delivered a full JavaScript CMS built on Node.js with powerful localization (ApostropheCMS Workflow), multitenancy and developer‑friendly tooling, enabling Michelin teams to spin up sites quickly and manage global content. The result: Michelin deployed over 250 sites spanning 57 countries, 32 languages, 8 brands and 9 business lines, and continues to contract Apostrophe for support and custom development.
