OpenWeb Achieves Least Privileges with Automated JIT Access

OpenWeb, an audience engagement platform, required a more scalable access management solution to eliminate standing privileges for its development and support teams as the company grew. To achieve a least privilege cloud environment, OpenWeb partnered with vendor Apono to implement its solution for Just-In-Time and Just-Enough access.

Apono provided OpenWeb with an automated solution that integrates with their AWS Identity Center. This allowed the company to securely provision temporary, auto-revoked permissions to sensitive resources like production RDS databases through a self-service portal. The result was a significant reduction in risk from standing privileges. The Apono solution was praised for speeding up the DevOps team by eliminating access-related bottlenecks and was well-adopted by both developers and operations personnel.
