A Aplos Case Study

Calvary Chapel integrates Church Community Builder with Aplos to save hundreds of working hours

Calvary Chapel in Salt Lake City, a congregation of about 1,800 members with 50+ staff that also runs a bookstore and thrift store, was juggling membership in Church Community Builder, donations in ACS, and bookkeeping in QuickBooks. That mix required dozens of manual hours each week to log donations and reconcile records across systems, so the church needed a single solution that could handle fund accounting and integrate with its donor platform.

Calvary migrated the church, bookstore, and thrift store into separate books in Aplos—using role-based permissions and Aplos Standard for the stores and Aplos Advanced for the church—and linked Aplos directly to Church Community Builder. Donation batches, fund allocations, and donor details now import automatically, cutting manual entry and saving hundreds of labor hours monthly, while providing easier fund accounting, browser access, and responsive support.
