How Safran Aircraft Engines offers its customers considerable savings thanks to Apizee

Safran Aircraft Engines, a world-class aircraft engine manufacturer, faced the challenge of helping airlines optimize operations and fleet management. To address this, they needed a turnkey solution to provide remote, expert advice to technicians performing borescope inspections. They partnered with vendor Apizee to power their new B.Side® service.

The solution implemented by Apizee was a web-based visual and collaborative conferencing platform. This technology enabled real-time contact between on-site technicians and remote experts, and included a checklist, automatic reporting tool, and cloud storage for inspection data. The results were significant, with over 170 users, service for 800 aircraft, and over €2M in heavy maintenance costs avoided for their customers.
