Telstra Enhancing Digital Connectivity with New APIs & Automated SDKs

Telstra, Australia’s leading telecommunications and technology company, launched a developer portal with SDKs powered by APIMatic to support its growing API catalogue. The team needed a way to version OpenAPI specs without worrying about code generation, while also keeping existing integrations backward compatible.

With APIMatic, Telstra was able to automatically regenerate language-specific SDKs when API specs changed and publish them to its public GitHub repository. Rajeev Ramani said building production-ready SDKs from scratch could have taken 6–8 months, and APIMatic removed that work completely while giving Telstra responsive support and a path to integrate SDK generation into its CI/CD process.
