Leroy Merlin, the home improvement retailer, was expanding rapidly in Russia while undergoing digital transformation, and needed a better way to let partners and customers access services such as window installation, kitchen installation, and product data. Using Apigee API Platform in Google Cloud, Leroy Merlin set out to simplify integration across its growing ecosystem and make customer journeys more seamless.

Apigee helped Leroy Merlin implement a clear API strategy built on microservices, securely exposing endpoints for pricing, inventory, product information, and payments. This made partner onboarding faster and product synchronization scalable, while also enabling API management controls like key validation, quotas, and JWT validation. Leroy Merlin now has roughly 100 APIs, with more than 70 partners supported, and expects Apigee to help it scale its developer platform and ecosystem further.
