Qualia processes 100B tokens and 1.1M emails with Apigee

Qualia, a provider of software for title and escrow companies, sought to automate complex, document-heavy real estate transactions using AI. However, their efforts were hampered by rate-limiting bottlenecks from other AI providers, which capped processing requests and caused unpredictable operational disruptions. This prevented them from rolling out a scalable AI solution to their customers.

Apigee's parent, Google Cloud, provided a solution with its Gemini models, specifically leveraging Gemini 2.5 Flash and Gemini 2.5 Pro. The key advantage was Google's flex capacity approach, which eliminated rate-limiting and allowed Qualia to quickly scale its processing. The implemented system, Qualia Clear, automated document review and workflows, saving customers hours per transaction and catching costly errors in real-time. During the beta, Apigee's Google Cloud processed over 100 billion tokens across 1.1 million emails and 1.8 million documents.
