OFX, a global money transfer and foreign exchange provider in Australia, needed to better serve its growing B2B customers with secure, scalable digital experiences and faster access to market-leading exchange rates. To meet these needs, OFX chose Apigee API Management Platform to replace a more B2C-style approach and support its API-driven corporate offerings.

Using Apigee, OFX launched and managed APIs such as the Global Currency Account API, Payments API, and Rates API, along with a developer portal for partner onboarding and testing. The result was faster time to market, stronger security and traffic control, and broader developer adoption—nearly 200 developers registered for the Rates API within months—while helping OFX scale globally and support new open-banking use cases.
