Telenor, a major mobile network operator, sought to advance its early API initiatives to better support its digital transformation goals, including offering new services like e-health and IoT. They partnered with the vendor Apigee and implemented the Apigee Edge platform to address these challenges.

By adopting Apigee, Telenor launched a self-service developer portal and gained the tools to productize and monetize its APIs. The Apigee solution provided strong access control, streamlined partner onboarding, and a unified overview of API traffic. This resulted in a significant year-over-year increase in direct revenue, with over 20 API products now available to 260 partners, enabling a scalable ecosystem for digital growth.
