Krungsri Consumer, a subsidiary of Krungsri Bank in Thailand, needed to modernize its financial services to keep up with the shift toward digital and cardless payments. To do that, Krungsri chose the Apigee API Management Platform to support a move from monolithic systems to flexible microservices, while also needing a secure, easy-to-use way to connect with more partners.
With Apigee, Krungsri launched its first APIs, supported by a developer portal, stronger security features like OAuth2, and built-in monetization tools. The result was much faster partner onboarding—cutting integration time from about six months to weeks, and for some partners to under three months—while also enabling new points and payment services and laying the groundwork for future revenue from data services.
