Conrad Electronic, a European electronics and technology retailer, needed to evolve from a regional brick-and-mortar business into a global B2B and B2C ecommerce platform. Using Apigee API Management Platform, the company aimed to modernize its omnichannel operations, connect front ends and backend systems, and speed up partner and vendor integration across 150 countries.

Apigee helped Conrad Electronic build a cloud-first, API-driven architecture that supports microservices, in-store mobile sales tools, and a developer portal for testing new services. As a result, partner onboarding dropped from weeks of development to just hours, Conrad now manages more than 110 APIs and 3 billion API calls per month, and over 60% of store visitors are served through the new mobile sales interface.
