ICE+FRIES is a fast-casual bionic street food bar in Reykjavik, Iceland, that set out to create a highly automated, futuristic guest experience while keeping complex operations under control. To support this, the team needed a way to manage menus, inventory, procurement, and kitchen workflows across a concept that includes robots, kiosks, online ordering, and outlet-specific product assortments.

Apicbase provided the back-of-house platform powering ICE+FRIES’ kitchen management and menu operations. Using the Apicbase API, the bar syncs pricing, allergen, nutritional, and availability data to its digital menus, while every sale updates stock in real time so items are removed automatically when inventory gets low. The result is a fully closed-loop operation with accurate portions, reduced waste, better procurement planning, and detailed food-cost tracking down to the cent.
