A Apica Case Study
The Linux Foundation, which supports and funds global open‑source projects, relies on its website to connect developers and run events. When event pages in mainland China suffered 40‑second load times and timeouts, the U.S. IT team had no in‑country monitoring to diagnose or resolve the problem, threatening access for a critical audience.
After trialing and quickly deploying Apica’s monitoring with PoPs in China, the team gained local and remote synthetic checks, simple reporting, and responsive support. The result: event page load time dropped from 40 seconds to 800 milliseconds, local contractors and remote staff can monitor performance, and the Foundation plans to extend Apica checks to the U.S. and Europe.
