Global Business Services, a Europe-based testing company with more than 40,000 employees in over 100 countries, needed to improve supplier data quality across many systems as it moved toward greater use of purchase orders, contracts, and automated procure-to-pay processes. To do that, it partnered with apexanalytix and used its smartvm® Vendor Master Cleansing Service and apexarchimedes™ AI to assess the accuracy and completeness of its vendor master data.

apexanalytix cleaned, vetted, consolidated, and enriched more than 35,000 supplier records from nearly 30 databases, identifying duplicates, inactive suppliers, invalid bank and tax details, and missing contact and classification data. The project eliminated nearly 900 duplicate records, removed more than 1,200 inactive suppliers, flagged almost 6,000 bank issues and nearly 700 tax ID errors, corrected 15,000 addresses, and added thousands of phone numbers, email addresses, and SIC/NAISC codes, giving Global Business Services a single trusted data source for better sourcing and automation.
