Global Biopharmaceuticals Company, a global leader in rare diseases and highly specialized treatments with nearly 24,000 employees and operations in more than 100 countries, wanted to improve the quality of supplier data across its corporate systems and databases. The company turned to apexanalytix to support procure-to-pay initiatives by assessing and strengthening the accuracy of vendor master data.

apexanalytix used its smartvm® Vendor Master Cleansing Services and apexarchimedes™ artificial intelligence to clean and vet more than 16,000 supplier records, consolidating, scoring, classifying, and de-duplicating vendors while scrubbing and enriching data. The project identified 5,854 incorrect VAT/TINs, 3,278 duplicate records, 82 vendors on watch lists, and about one-third of records with incorrect banking information, while also correcting 13,166 addresses, adding contact details to 9,173 records, and enriching 973 records with DUNS and SIC/NAICS classifications.
