PLACE TO SLEEP, a Scandinavian hotel chain, wanted to scale its staffless hotel concept without a traditional front desk while still delivering a smooth guest journey. To do that, it partnered with Apaleo and used its cloud PMS alongside other automation tools to manage reservations, guest communication, and operations with minimal on-site staff.

Apaleo enabled PLACE TO SLEEP to automate room assignments, online check-in, billing, housekeeping coordination, and automatic checkout, while guests received PIN codes for access and invoices by email. The result was a highly efficient, low-cost operating model that helped PLACE TO SLEEP expand into smaller and secondary locations, lower fixed labor costs, and offer highly competitive rates while increasing profitability.
