A Apadmi Case Study

Preview of the General Medical Council Case Study

Using mobile to encourage the continued learning of UK medical professionals

The General Medical Council (GMC), the UK’s independent regulatory body for doctors, needed a better way to help medical professionals manage their continuing professional development (CPD) logs. It wanted to simplify the process with mobile technology while supporting doctors in maintaining high professional standards. Apadmi was brought in to create a mobile solution, my CPD app, for iOS and Android.

Apadmi developed an intuitive app based on input from more than 120 doctors, enabling users to track progress, record CPD activities, capture evidence for appraisals, and export information to PDF. The app also suggested relevant seminars to encourage continued learning. Rolled out across the UK, the My CPD app is now available to over 280,000 registered medical practitioners, making CPD management faster, easier, and more productive.
