The Drum, a major marketing news publication with readers across Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific, wanted to bring its July issue on voice technology to life after a rebrand. Working with Apadmi, the company sought an Alexa skill that would complement its new brand, engage Alexa-enabled audiences, and strengthen its reputation as a cutting-edge marketing publication.
Apadmi delivered two Alexa skills: a flash briefing that streamed The Drum’s latest news via RSS, and a more distinctive voice technology experience featuring pre-recorded answers from co-founder and editor-in-chief Gordon Young. Launched at The Drum’s Cannes event, the skills gave readers a new way to engage with the brand and personalize the experience through Gordon’s voice, helping The Drum “give [its] magazine a real voice” and create a unique bridge between print and voice content.
