Case Study: The Guardian modernizes print journalism for mobile readers with Apadmi's Edition App

A Apadmi Case Study

Preview of the The Guardian Case Study

Providing a smooth transition between print and online media for millions of readers

The Guardian, one of the UK’s leading national newspapers, wanted to give its print readership a new way to access journalism in 2012 as digital news consumption grew. Apadmi was brought in to create a simple, engaging digital edition app that would bridge print and online media for readers.

Apadmi built The Guardian Edition app for Android and Kindle Fire, adding a portable reading experience with personalised story selection, content preferences, offline reading, notifications, and video embeds for richer, more interactive articles. The app has since achieved well over 1,000,000 downloads, helping The Guardian extend its print experience to a mobile audience.
