A mobile app for one of the most successful TV shows in the UK

The X Factor worked with Apadmi to create an official mobile app for one of the UK’s most successful TV shows. The challenge was to extend viewer interaction beyond its existing iOS app and engage its huge Android audience with a more interactive experience during the live broadcasts.

Apadmi built the Official X Factor App with real-time voting, social sharing, exclusive media, and “Tap to Clap” audience reactions, integrating with ITV servers via Tellybug. The result was a unique second-screen experience that helped the Android app achieve well over 1 million downloads, with ITV later taking over maintenance through a detailed handover from Apadmi.
