A AOpen Case Study
Sporthaus Schuster, a well-known sports retailer based in Munich with a unique multi-level "mountain" store layout, faced a common retail challenge: customers struggled to find products across the large, 500 m², steeply tiered space. Paper signage and staff-assisted directions were inefficient, causing frustration, wasted time and missed sales opportunities, so the retailer sought an interactive, low-maintenance wayfinding solution to improve the in-store experience.
Friendlyway implemented its Store Navigator system, installing two 52-inch interactive touch kiosks and 21 Philips screens driven by AOPEN DE45-PRO players, all centrally managed and bilingual with keyword search and automatic homepage reset. The kiosks made navigation intuitive, reduced staff direction requests, and helped customers find products faster—boosting satisfaction and reinforcing Sporthaus Schuster’s innovative image while supporting sales and promotional visibility.
