Palma Aquarium Mallorca seeks to engage with the audience

Palma Aquarium Mallorca, opened in 2007 and unique for having live coral in each of its 55 tanks with over 8,000 specimens from 700+ species, wanted to modernize how it informed and engaged visitors. Their 2008-era displays had become obsolete, while dim exhibit lighting, frequent content updates and the aquarium’s sustainability and aesthetic goals demanded a low-power, easy-to-manage interactive solution.

Plexus installed 44 AOPEN WarmTouch 22" all‑in‑one touchscreens (21.5" 1920×1080, up to 10 touch points, fanless and dust‑protected) so each tank could offer playable, updatable educational content. The upgrade delivered stronger visitor engagement and accessibility, energy-efficient 24/7 operation in line with the aquarium’s green philosophy, and new uses such as gift‑shop promotions, click analytics and planned children’s educational games.
