HotDoc, Australia’s leading patient engagement platform trusted by over 11,000 GPs, wanted to move beyond appointment booking to a fully interactive self-service check-in experience that would free reception staff for higher‑value work. The challenge was finding hardware and management tools that were robust, tamper‑proof, easy to deploy and centrally manageable for public clinic environments.

HotDoc deployed the AOPEN Chromebase Commercial 22" with Chrome Device Management, giving a durable, commercial‑grade kiosk and centralized control for its web app. The solution is live at 263 sites, achieving 94% successful check-ins without staff help and a reported 30% increase in staff productivity, with plans to add digital registration, barcode check-ins, Bluetooth notifications, kiosk payments and Medicare card swipe.
