Bedshed, an Australian bedding and bedroom furniture retailer, wanted to lift its in-store experience, drive sales and better integrate online and offline channels while capturing customer insights. The retailer also faced specific buying barriers, such as customers delaying decisions when their partner wasn’t in-store, and sought a technology-led solution to support multichannel marketing and improve conversion.
Bedshed rolled out internet-enabled touchscreen kiosks from AOPEN running the OpenSign platform, offering product catalogs, a popular wishlist, a “Mattress Assist” tool and the ability to generate and email custom PDF brochures to partners. The six‑month project boosted engagement (customers averaged seven minutes per session), sped purchase decisions, delivered valuable analytics on interactions and specials, produced strong conversion improvements and quick ROI, and is now being prepared for a national rollout.
