Case Study: KDDI America achieves seamless Google Drive migration and centralized file control with AODocs

A AODocs Case Study

Preview of the KDDI America Case Study

KDDI America wanted a solution to help centralize document ownership and gain control over sharing permissions

KDDI America, the U.S. subsidiary of KDDI Corporation, needed to move off aging Windows file servers that were maintenance‑heavy and offered no reliable way to restore accidentally deleted files. The company wanted centralized ownership and tighter control over sharing permissions and needed to migrate millions of documents into Google Drive while increasing G Suite adoption — so they turned to AODocs for a content management layer on top of Drive.

AODocs worked with KDDI America to perform a full migration in just a few days and deployed AODocs Team Folders/DMS libraries to centralize file ownership and permissions in Drive. As a result, employees can work directly in Drive (no VPN or local downloads), collaboration and file sharing are simpler, and G Suite use has increased; KDDI now manages 1,561,326 files across 33 DMS libraries via AODocs.
