Careplus, a three‑site hospital in The Netherlands with 2,000 staff and 255,000 annual polyclinic visits, faced an outdated telephone system and fragmented communication processes that hurt patient accessibility and staff efficiency. To future‑proof communications and enable mobile, virtual teams, Careplus selected AnywhereNow and its Unified Contact Center (Anywhere365) integrated with Microsoft Skype for Business/Lync to modernize how patients, relatives and clinicians connect.

AnywhereNow implemented the Anywhere365 UCC on top of Skype for Business/Lync, adding presence, skill‑based hunting, priority detection, web/audio/video chat and smart routing. The change cut average call handling by about 50 seconds (at 1,050 calls/week saving ~14.6 hours or ~0.35 FTE), sped access to the right clinician, enabled remote consults, and increased patient satisfaction and staff productivity.
