Case Study: Deloitte achieves 9% logistics cost reduction and 18% inventory cut with anyLogistix

Supply chain network design for a telecom provider

Deloitte, working to optimize a country‑wide telecom logistics network that included ~150 warehouses, 2,500 points of sale and ~20,000 operational sites, needed a way to match future demand forecasts and inventory targets while preserving service levels. Deloitte engaged anyLogistix, using its network optimization software, to assess whether a 1‑ or 2‑tier network was optimal, determine warehouse capacities and locations, and define inventory policies and a transformation timeline.

anyLogistix built and calibrated an AS‑IS model (~99% cost accuracy), cleaned ERP data, ran six TO‑BE scenarios, produced visual dashboards and a staged transition roadmap. The optimization delivered measurable impact: a 9% reduction in total logistics costs, 28% fewer warehouses, 5% lower transportation costs, an 18% drop in total inventory and a 26% increase in inventory turnover; more aggressive scenarios showed up to 22% cost savings and much larger inventory reductions. anyLogistix supplied the models, dashboards and implementation plan that enabled these results.
