Eldorado Company, a major electronics retailer in Russia with stores in 350 cities, needed help choosing the optimal number and locations of warehouses to improve customer fulfillment while reducing delivery and storage costs. To solve this, Eldorado Company worked with AnyLogic and its Logistics Network Manager, now part of the anyLogistix supply chain optimization system.

AnyLogic implemented a detailed simulation model that tested warehouse placement, inventory replenishment, transportation routes, and sales patterns across daily, weekly, and monthly cycles. The model helped Eldorado Company evaluate 63,000 warehouse network combinations and select the least-cost configuration, with implementation costs reportedly paid back in the first two months.
