Production Planning Optimization for an Automotive Supplier

Bravo Delta Simulation, founded in 2023, helped Mayco International, a Tier 1 automotive supplier, tackle complex production planning challenges for three product lines across two manufacturing processes. The company needed a better way to test whether its planned output targets could be met and whether equipment would be used efficiently, since Excel could not handle the complexity of the scheduling problem.

Using AnyLogic simulation software, Bravo Delta Simulation built and refined a production planning model based on the plant’s CAD layout, incorporating scrap rates, downtime probabilities, and inventory tracking. The AnyLogic model showed that Mayco could meet customer volume requirements with the planned equipment and parameters, and it delivered an optimized production schedule that supports more effective planning and decision-making.
