BlueKei Solutions, an Indian consulting company focused on technology adoption and integration, faced a challenge helping a client in the agricultural sector determine how many drones were needed to spray fields efficiently. Using AnyLogic simulation software, the team needed to account for the full support system, including drone carriers, operators, technicians, batteries, and charging infrastructure.

BlueKei Solutions used AnyLogic agent-based simulation to model the environment, field layouts, drone behavior, and control center across 17 fields. The simulation showed that deploying more than four drones did not create significant additional benefit, and the best balance of time and cost was around three days for completion; it also helped optimize battery swaps and reduce unnecessary investment in excess drones, lowering costs and improving planning decisions.
