A AnyLogic Case Study
The Centre for Research in Healthcare Engineering (CRHE) at the University of Toronto needed a way to test policy changes and improve the efficiency, quality, and equity of the Canadian healthcare system. To support this, CRHE turned to AnyLogic to build a decision support tool for exploring healthcare policy options and system behavior.
AnyLogic implemented a multimethod simulation model combining system dynamics and agent-based modeling, using structured data and documentation from healthcare systems to run scenarios. The solution helped CRHE visualize large volumes of data, identify patterns, and analyze variables such as life expectancy and healthcare spending, supporting future policy research aimed at improving healthcare outcomes.
