CNH Industrial, a global capital goods manufacturer, wanted to reduce costly downtime by improving maintenance decisions on its Iveco Daily van chassis welding line at the Suzzara plant in Italy. Working with AnyLogic and Fair Dynamics, the company sought a digital tool to compare maintenance policies and support its World Class Manufacturing improvement efforts.

AnyLogic helped Fair Dynamics build an agent-based digital twin of the welding line, integrating sensor data and a prognostic health model to test scheduled, condition-based, and predictive maintenance. The simulation lets CNH Industrial run what-if scenarios and compare production, maintenance, and spare-part costs, giving managers faster, more informed decisions and clearer insight into how maintenance choices affect downtime and overall operating cost.
